HOW MANY BAGS ARE NECESSARY FOR BOAT?

In fact every calculation is individual. Important is specific weight of the boat. The bags have to compensate the weight of all parts on a boat, which specific weight exceed the weight 1000 kg/m3, as for example the engine, anchor, chains, mast, keel, ….

So practically the bags have to compensate the weight of all parts, which are not floating (buoyant).For better understanding how many bags are necessary for one boat:

1. WOODEN BOAT: If is damaged wooden boat, it will stay on a sea level. In the case that wooden boat has the engine, anchor, chains, mast, keel, …. , what means the parts which are not floating, than you need so many bags, that you compensate the weight of all parts, which are not floating.

2. PLASTIC BOAT: If is damaged plastic boat, than it needs already a little buoyant force, because the specific weight of the plastic is in average a little higher as is specific weight of the water. In this case you need already bags for buoyant force for plastic boat. In the case that plastic boat has the engine, anchor, chains, mast, keel, …. , what means the parts which are not floating, than you need so many bags that you compensate the weight of all parts, which are not floating.

3. METAL BOAT: If is damaged metal boat, than you need so many bags (volume of the bags) as is total weight of the boat. In any case is better to take one or two bags more in calculation and also the boat will be higher of the level of the sea.

OPERATION: The full volume of one bag is 850 l, the total volume of the BRS KIT2N is 1700 l. The weight of the displaced water (two bags) is 1700 kg. The average filling time of one bag is 30 secs. Operation time (filling two bags and tight the net on the boat) is 5 min.

Interesting: The capacity of one (2 kg) fire extinguisher suffices to fill six buoyancy bags in the total volume of 5100l.THE BRS BOAT RESCUE SYSTEM IS PATENTED AND PROTECTED.
